Some 2023 Chevy Silverado, Tahoe And Suburban Units Will Need A 6.2L V8 Engine Replacement

Update : My 2023 ZR2 has been returned with an all new engine and under the hood parts, reprogrammed and 27 miles later I Discover that the engine is almost a quart Low of oil. And yes, there is a metallic residue on the dipstick. Seemed very underpowered and the Infotainment is not working. Scratches in the paint on the hood and front bumper. Everything is going back on monday. They gave me a hundred and fifty thousand mile warranty, and oil changes for life. Now i'm going to be asking for an upgrade to the 2500 ZR2. Completely ridiculous.

And this is the problem I have with the entire situation…it simply won’t be the same as a truck that rolls off the factory assembly line. Sucks man, make them ensure it’s right…they are simply too expensive and GM making record profits for them to not make things right.

I changed my oil at 1500 miles personally. I can tell you the oil looked very silvery and the filter had plenty of debris. Not sure that is uncommon for a motor break in.

I will say, 150k warranty would be pretty nice to have if you keep them 10 years.

They should just make a good deal on a new truck and give fair market value for the used one. Customer gets a new truck they can sell the used one with extended warranty. Dealer gets another sale. Everyone's happy.
