After fleecing customers for years, GM announced record employee bonuses averaging $15k/per on top of record revenue and profit, and stock buybacks. At some point, with these financial metrics, they are going to have to put some money back into design, manufacturing, and customer satisfaction.

This is why they went along with all the union demands, cause they knew they could keep fucking over customers. They have no incentive to do it differently.

Meanwhile we're here fighting to keep our junk on the road due to numerous defects and parts failures........computer software/hardware, electronic parts, motors, and now we can't even get fucking shocks (a wear item) for a reasonable price. We're waiting for the feds and some greasy law firm to come to our rescue for what's sure to be mere pennies in compensation.

I am finally at the point where if GM doesn't come correct before I need a new vehicle, I'll never buy another one again and I've never owned anything else in 37 years since my first. GM can kiss my ass!

Curious...what would you consider to be a viable option?

I drive my stuff a while, so I'll keep this POS for several years if GM can keep it running and parts are available.

I already ordered a Scout Traveler for 2027 delivery, so that one for sure.

The only other truck I would own is a Ram, cause I already drive them for business. Picked this one up in November.

After having Wranglers and seeing Stellantis' quality as well as how they handle warranties, Id not want a Ram either. The rental I am driving now, although the seats are more comfortable than the Silverado, I dont care for a lot of its quirks. The problem these days is none of these OEMs give a rats ass about quality. It's all about pumping out more to sell and then give you a big fuck you. If you get a good vehicle at all, I think it's luck of the draw now. Too bad we all dont just stop buying all together and make a collective statement for them to fix their shit.

I have had 2 RAM 4X4 Limiteds. A 2019 and a 2021. I would buy another RAM before I would buy a Ford.

Another reason I am trading my truck in the end of March after my BMW X5 comes in. Too many Software/Electronics issues. My Wifes X3 has been the most reliable vehicle we have ever had.

My Dad's a Ram guy since the 80s. It's the only thing he's driven since they quit making IH trucks. So that's what we run for our business. He drives them every day, much more than I do. We've had very few problems. A few recalls for small items like some tie rods and the 2018 2500 we just sold had a bad DEF tank assembly. None of these trucks have been high mileage and see a mix of towing and daily driving. Intetiors are nice with excellent seating and materials and their gadgetrty seems to work well. I'd give them a 9.5 overall.

My beef with GM now is simple your putting up record numbers and delivering shitty products using our cash. I'll give money to anyone else just to say fuck off after four decades committment.
