With mixed feelings, I’m moving on from my ‘22 ZR2.
Offering up this Range DFM/ASS disabler.
Only on for about 6 months or so. Functioned as intended until I removed it when I sold the ZR2.
$175 shipped to CONUS
Prefer Venmo payment. Will accept personal check or money order, but would hold shipping until I get the check.

Is this still available? If so, at the risk of being chastised by the community, convince me as to why I should consider it...I mean I get the DFM and AFM disabler aspect of it, but is it really that much of a difference? Worth it in your opinion?

What did you move on to?

It’s still available. To me the main selling point was to 1) disable the auto start/stop so I didn’t have to hit that button every time I got in and 2) the truck just ran better with the DFM disabled.
You can debate whether having the DFM disabled negated the risk of lifter failure, and while I know it doesn’t remove all potential of engine failure, having that feature disabled seems like it would at least reduce that risk somewhat.
With the aftermarket exhaust, the truck sounded much better with the DFM disabled.
To me, it was convenient to turn off start/stop and piece of mind to safeguard against lifter failure.

Let me know if you are interested in it.

I moved into a 5.0 Tremor. Never had a ford, always hated on people with them, but for the price, I found the Tremor to be better equipped, more spacious and comfortable than the ZR2 and felt like the coyote engine had been around long enough with proven reliability. We will see if that holds true. Overall, I’m happy with the switch so far, although the front end of the ZR2 is much more attractive than the f150, IMO. I also find there to be much better aftermarket support with fords than Chevy, especially the ZR2 platform.

I have a Black F250 Platinum Tremor fairly loaded with the 7.3L Godzilla on factory order. They did not want a deposit and if I like it, I buy it. If not, it goes their lot to sell. Beautiful truck so we'll see once it arrives. The order was just accepted by Ford last week. Never been a Ford guy either and, to be honest, they all have their issues. Maybe time to try something else. I will say the F250 was 100X more comfortable than the hard seats in the Chevy so that would make my wife happier.

For me, the Range disabler has transformed the 6.2 into a real V-8 again, especially while towing as it is smooth as silk. But it is not without its downsides. Specifically, the fact that it needs to be plugged into the ECM which could not be much easier to do except for me. I am old and crawling under the front wheel and plugging it in was easy enough but my bones weren't happy about it. You'll need to remove it before taking it to the dealership if they will be doing any ECM updates. I am leaving it on as long as I am able!

Well, I haven't towed with this one yet, but I have been known to do so with previous trucks. I do recall the issues on my last Silverado with that and honestly, with that, I would say it is worth it. So...sending you a message @cgrubb1

Yes, well worth it and may save premature wear on lifters and cam. Also improved shifting in my transmission. Others did not note that.

One thing Furd does better than GM is issue recalls. Those stoopid fuckers set a record in 2025 and 3Xd the previous high recall. That goofy looking douche that runs Furd doesn't where a fucking skirt like Mary Bad Bearings Barra, but he damn well pisses sitting down.

"Ford set an industry record in 2025 for the most recalls in a single year, issuing approximately 152 to 153 notices for safety issues or defects across numerous models "
