1st oil change at 13,500/0% oil life remaining no problems. For me, bought used with 3500 miles on it,
2nd oil change at 23,500 just hit change oil soon the day before my appointment and low oil light came on and I needed to add a quart.
3rd oil change at 30k and it was at 20% oil life remaining but 2 quarts low. Topped off and took it in a couple weeks later with odo at about 33,500.
1000 miles since last change and already 1/2 qt low.
Looking around found that the AC Delco OW-30 volume loss to vaporization is 13%. Friend is an Amsoil Rep and their vaporization of their Signature Select OW-20 is 8%. Regardless if GM refuses to replace my engine or not I’ll be running Amsoil signature in mine going forward. If they wind up ordering an engine I’ll be putting Amsoil oil and filter in the front seat when I drop it off.
