Welcome 👍
How are those XL steps?
I really like them. Look good and when they tuck up all you see is waht looks like a rockslider. Also adds a little protection from stuff coming up off tires and road for lower door. Had truck for 2 days and it ended up with a rock chip in door on lower side. Dealership fixed it but i wasn’t happy how soft the paint seemed to be.

The paint sucks! I ve got these XLs on my 2500HD and I've got tons of rock chips from offroad/gravel road driving. These Goodyear MTs throw a lot of rocks, so that doesn't help.

Yes seems like Chevy’s paint is way to soft. My wife’s 24 traverse has a chip on bottom edge or her hood! Rock isnt doing that and it only has 2500 or so miles on it. Dealer body shop mngr said looked like hood was closed on something. But they want $950 to fix a chip size of battery symbol on a phone.

Yeah the paint is pathetic. Both mine look worse 1 year in than my 10 year old trucks driven the same way. I'm gonna Line X mine soon from lower rocker up to the bottom seam on the door.

Keep me posted i’d like to see finished product. I’ve been considering wrapping mine in same area from bottom upto seam on doors .

I like mine, i’m bout 5’9 but with jacked up knees, makes harder to get up in trucks. These make nice. And dont have to orry as much about seat bolsters getting ruined as quick

How low are they when deployed? I am concerned that the XL will drop too much for an unlifted 1500.

They drop about 2 inches lower than the standard AMP steps, which is achieved by the housing that the steps fold into mounted to the lower rocker panel.
