That’s part of the technology package also . At least its listed as included on my paperwork as part of the technology package , as well
As HUD and adaptive Cruise control is the other listed option included in it

If you paid for that then you should speak with your dealership that you purchased it from.

I'm sure he didn't pay for it as it would have to be on the Monroney sticker and part of the MSRP. The chances are about zero that he was sold a truck that said it has it and doesn't.

The projector is in the dash and a red light will projected on the windshield but I don't have the switch in the dash .

I think you may be confusing the emergency braking alert that flashes RED with the HUD.

My truck does not have hud but it has the lightt on top of the dash . Can you just buy the hud switch to enable it to work ?

Vehicles without HUD have a physical LED strip that will illuminate and reflect off the windshield for forward collision alert. The HUD system is a completely different implementation.
