Not really a new truck here…I’ve had it since last September. Got it from a small dealer in Indiana who couldn’t get it sold so they used it as a “demo model” so I got a pretty good deal on a used “new” truck.

Went with a 3/4T Bison that I really didn't get to spec out because of the situation mentioned above...I bought what they had. Including the paint color.

List of current upgrades in the order I installed them
1. Transfer flow 50G aux. tank
- love it. 1100-1500 miles of range on mixed & long haul

2. 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers
- A lesson I had reinforced last weekend...get a matching spare. Had the rear left blow out on the highway down to Tennessee and had to switch to the original 35" tire for around 20 miles until I could get to a tire shop.
- 37" wheels will absolutely fit with no cutting/rubbing...plenty of room against the the UCA even aired down to 35PSI.
- lost about 3MPG going from 35" to 37" tires. See above 50 Gallon auxiliary tank.

3. AEV SNORKEL
- Unequivocally the dumbest use of $1K I have ever spent.

4. BD squadron ditch lights on Morimoto brackets.
- Just installed the brackets and lights last night...super easy. I got hung up on a suitable cab entry through the firewall...Ive read a few things on here about the passenger side or the driver side left foot area...when I get time this weekend I'll finish that up. I am learning as I go and I am definitely not an electrician.

Planned Upgrades(not in order):
1. Banks MAP relocation
2. Full lighting suite (some brand of switch panel, bumper mounted LP4's, roof rack mounted bar or LP6's maybe)
3. Winch...unfortunately. Will likely need it in this upcoming rally.
4. Roofrack - Uptop or Baseline
5. An actual mount for the spare tire.

Kind of at a nexus point between making this a standalone "overland" truck, or gearing it up as a Camper puller.

I’m running it in the 24 hours of Appalachia in May…we’ll see how it goes lol. I will be the longest, heaviest, and likely widest rig in the race by a wide margin.

If your gonna run that spare in the bed, you should get a solid mount.

Conversely, if you blow a 37 in the rear, you can swap it with the front. No concerns with tire size on the front to get you home.........a couple 6 ton bottle jacks will do the trick.

Also, what's a MFer in the Midwest need a snorkel for? Unless you're crossing the Mississippi or Missouri, I'm not getting it. Are you Nate?

Agreed on a solid mount. I’m leaning towards a bumper mounted swing out or putting it on the roof so I don’t give up anymore bed space, but nothing remotely finalized yet.

The snorkel…well, we all make mistakes. I personally love the way it looks but the amount of shit I get for putting a snorkel on a 3/4T truck is crazy.

Well the good news is that you can solve that BIG snorkel problem... I know a guy that has a low profile replacement.... It's super easy to install, 5 minutes tops, Its really Cheap and Everyone will Smile when they see it... It is Bad ASS! He may be getting it Patented.
