By the looks of things and comments in this video, it looks like the HDs are now subjected to the same FPCM issues as the 6.2L 1500s.

One thing about it, when GM fucks shit up, they go all out!

Heeeey! I just got back from the dealership with this SAME PROBLEM. Funny thing is I looked EXACTLY like this guy. Died on the side of an old county road with zero room for passing traffic. Truck was going 45 mph and then just died. No warning lights, no nothing.

Sorry to hear this. Did they have one in stock? Did you get a part number, maybe on your service sheet? I want to pick one up.

I have had one under my seat in my 1500 for about 18 months just in case I'm in the boonies.

They did thank God. I'll say it was a "quick painless process" for it not being a painless process. A truck having a part fail at 18k miles doesn't give me a warm fuzzy, but OnStar and AAA were great, and the dealership gave me a brand new 1500 as the loaner. The truck was fixed by 9:30 the next morning, and I picked it up after work. Once we start doing the RV thing all over the country, I'm going to have one in the toolbox as well. I'll chalk this up to another lesson learned.

As for the GM part number, it's:

Fuel Pump Power Control Module - GM (13554821)

Glad it worked out! Thank you for the part number!

Interesting, that is the same part number that the 1500s use. I guess they still haven’t fixed them.

Yeah, GM has a "who gives a shit?" attitude it seems. The infotainment system, with its volume/muting issue that requires a hard reboot, has been in the 1500's since they upgraded to the new 12" screen in '19. Now they use the same one in the HDs and didn't address the obvious software issue.
