Gm to stop selling 6.2 Ltr. trucks and suv's

This is interesting statement. Maybe I missed it in the other articles.

"2025 models are not affected thanks
to updated manufacturing
processes, but the availability of 6.2L
V8 trucks and SUVs remains limited."

lol, I bet the 2025s are exactly the same. They just didn't want a stop sell or this recall on the current model year. Probably not enough 25s reported yet to make them include them. Average person only logs 12k miles a year.

Just because they said it, doesnt mean it's true considering how much they cover up to avoid paying out. How many 2025's with 6.2Ls are on the road with enough miles to know for sure they arent affected? If people drive an average of 12K a year, MOST would have less than 10k on the clock right now.

They may have replaced the rod or cam bearings, which i think would be easy to do. Just like the lifter issue, we don't see many of those issues lately, so I think thos bad parts were flushed frome the system..........maybe!

Always a possibility. However, If that is the case, why did it take them 4 years to do it? Guess we could say money for that one too lol.

Yep. I have never thought it made sense to pay anyone $30M or anything like that. I got it you are over a billion dollar corporation but still. With that type of money Id work one year and retire damn it.

That was exactly my thinking. This stuff doesn't happen over night. Chevy could have simply switched to a different part number on the 25s and said it's fixed. If I remember right GM updated the lifters for model year 22 that was supposed to fix that problem as well, But we all know it didn't. Plenty of ZR2s had lifter failures. I know I thought it had been fixed when I bought my 22. Didn't take long before I started seeing lots of refreshed trucks with lifter failures online. Them saying don't worry the new ones on our lots are good to buy wouldn't overwhelm me with confidence, lol. Imagine people worried about it going out and trading for a 25 only to find out in 6 months they are in the same spot...

I am nearly certain I came across one or two owners in some fb group I’m in that recently had a failure on a 25.
