Forward Collision Alert while off roading

Hey folks,

I was in a tough off road area and i was on 4 LOW with 4 def locks on and out of a sudden i get a forward collision alert and the truck did a sudden strong break and shifted itself into Parking and I couldn’t shift back into drive. I shut it down and turned it on and everything was fine apart from the check engine light still on. Just now when im about to take it to the dealership, after 1 day the check engine light is gone. What does that mean? Flushed it by itself?

When im off roading i do the following:

1) Activate the “detect Off”
2) Disable traction control
3) Use the off road suspension option

Anything i am missing? Shall i do anything with disabling the forward collision system?

I've not had this happen to me and I've been in some harry situations without clippers.

I'm curious to know what the stealership tells you Amigo.

Stealership i called them and said the light is gone and they said bring it when it comes on again. I think it might have seen something in the desert (i was at night though) and the light was just a warning and it reseted itself. Will see what the folks here say.

I’m pretty sure some of the off road settings disabled crash avoidance.

I've had that collision warning go of in multiple scenarios. I woukd say it's overly aggressive and just plain wrong in some situations. Just the other day I had mine go off and brake hard backing in my driveway cause someone came along the street. I had to drive forward and it still kept braking, then put it in park, then they again twice before it finally decided the car passing was now a mile away so I should be safe again.
