Looking to add a hard folding tonneau cover to the ZR2. I have had two Bakflip MX4s in the past and love them but read on this forum that they block the cameras in the 3rd brake light when folded all the way up. Anyone have a hard folding cover that still allows you to use the cameras when folded against the cab? Pics?

I know the one sold here will fold up below the light and camera:

Short Bed Hard Folding Truck Bed Cover in Matte Black by RealTruck Advantage®

I ordered it with my truck and they installed it once it came in. I've been pretty happy with it but it's also the only one I've ever used. I've used it several time folded up to haul/move stuff. Been really happy being able to use the camera mode on the rear view mirror and switch to the bed view in the console display screen.

This is exactly what I’m looking for. Rearview mirror camera and bed camera still working when up. Thanks for the info. How bad does it leak and how’s it look after some time? Fading etc? Thanks.

Get the rolling one, they are on Sale right now from resltruck.com.

The folding cover does leak a bit in the corners after a hard rain, but almost all of the bed stays dry. I will try to get some pics tomorrow for weathering. It was 2 years old in August, but I don't notice a huge amount of fade yet.

The rolling cover also looks nice and has the same 400 lb. distributed weight limit. I think you would be well served by either model.

I chose the folding cover as an additional protection for the back glass while halling taller items in the back that may shift or tip while being moved. I also use tow straps and fold it up for extra protection just in case a strap would break. Do I think either of those instances would happen? Probably not, but I also don't want to find out how much the electric back window would cost for replacement.
