First Silverado ZR2 Mod?

I must be the only person who doesn't like the caliper covers, I find them tacky. If I did something to them, I'd be getting the actual calipers painted.
I do understand the appeal though, much easier and cheaper than getting calipers painted.
Do the covers do anything like add protection? I’m surprised how many people like them

Anyone find black Zr2 emblems yet?

This kit comes with 1 black ZR2 emblem, though I am not sure if it is the same size as the one that comes on the Silverado.

Recently added 1 1/2 inch wheel spacers and I think this is the way it should have come from the factory. No rubbing at all and it's flush with fenders.
Had it ceramic coated yesterday and it looks great. These are just awesome trucks.

I agree about painting calipers if they're big sporty calipers, but the rears on these trucks aren't sporty at all. When I see small generic looking calipers painted I just shake my head and ask why? These covers help it look sporty when they're not.
Maybe a big brake kit will be in its future....

Added Embark Power Retractable Cover and High Clearance Steps today….

Dealer installed and they left the bed messy with grease for the rails…had to hustle home, but disappointed with their lack of attention to detail on the brand new ride!

I’ve finally got my Borla exhaust, GM rocker rails, and 1.5” spacers. Plus, I added a 41 Twenty Two hitch slider. Up next: negative offset wheels and 35” MTs (I’ll grind out the front bumper ends, I don’t give a shit).

You had me until the negative offset wheels. :(
Just don't this stuff in the screenshot below. It's the worst modding truck owners do. It completely negates the purpose of a ZR2. Just get an normal LT or something.

I said negative offset wheels, not LDE, mall crawler, wheel condoms. Having-12 offset on 18” wheels to get them to be flush ain’t the same as running 22” with too much poke. I bought mine to off-road and overland

This is late, I will post a video as well but my first mod(s) were:

Window tint
AWE exhaust (bashguards)
aFe stage 2 intake
Texas speed built camshaft
Texas speed headers
Texas speed injectors

Waiting for tunes to come out before we install the magnuson super charger but with everything listed above we’re at about 589hp.

I will keep everyone updated, only have 1,400 miles on the ZR2 but doing the lords work on GM to defeat the TRX. I will not be messing with the suspension. She sounds mean though.

Tell me more about the Texas speed cam, headers and injectors. I may go the same route. Texas speed stuff is awesome. I want those American flag valve covers

Love this...anxious to hear and see more, keep up the good work. 🤘

Well we hit a snag today had the torque converter code hit. It’s too early to really assess how these existing L87 bolt ons and upgrades will last. Right now it’s extremely difficult without proper tunes. I’ll keep you updated. The goal is to perfect it and sell it to customers dissatisfied with essentially an overpriced Trail Boss or AT4 with Colorado dampers and suspension (yes, same size). Right now very underwhelmed with what GM has put out.
