Hey folks,

Truck was normal, i drove like 30 miles to a near by city, finished some things and when I turned it on, everything is working including the infotainment screen except the DIC which was totally off! I did the reset and also turned the car off and on again same thing it’s blacked out. Took it to the dealership straight stopped it turned it off and went to the manager and when they came to check it out, turned the car on the freaking DIC is working darn it. Anyway, they checked the computer and said they did reprogramming and asked to drive it few days and bring it back if any issues. I asked did the computer throw any errors and the guy said only history.

Anyone experienced something similar?

Gremlins in the wonderful GM software most likely. A lot of issues like this will fix itself about 15min of the truck being off or after driving a while. This reminds of the blinkers "Failing".

When these things happen try to reset the infotainment system completely. Not uncommon to have to do this. When in park hold the end call button for about 6 or 7 seconds until you see the system start to reset then release. Stay parked it will take a couple of minutes. This has fixed everything that has happened to my trucks on these types of issues.

Yup i did that with no avail
The factory reset is an ugly option because of having to set all of your preferences again. Had a 2020 HD Denali before that it took disconnecting the battery overnight even though it does not take that long to reset that way but the next morning everything worked. I have 2 2024's and a 2025 and the only one that requires resetting (using the end call method) about once a month is the HD ZR2. Mine are always radio or Google issues with the nav.
