You know how when there's a car in front of you, there's a little picture of a green car? Get closer and it is orange?

Well, mine's been stuck on a "crash" looking picture for a day.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure where all the front sensors are, but looking at the front of the truck, it's clean & surely hasn't hit anything.

Thanks for any insight!

First thing i always do is a reboot of the system by holding the phone hangup button (mute) for 20 seconds. Also check your forward and reverse collision sensor settings...if you dont have those set at full alert the icon will change over to a collision warning signal. Mine did the same thing about a month ago...i dont even remember turning them off but after turning them back on the system went back to normal.

Yep!

I think these sensors may use cameras, but some are under the "bumper covers" too. Can't even see them.

So, I did the reset, and the infotainment display cycled. Dash light crash indicator didn't change.

I went to the vehicle settings, and I'll be damned if I can figure out what to change to make this light go back to the green car symbol when a car's in front of me.

All the crash detection options are set to "on" or "on with alert" or whatever.

Should I cycle through those options???

I would say a scan tool needs to be hooked up to check the forward collision modules for codes. Otherwise...Battery disconnect and see if it goes away once reconnected. A history code will remain on what caused it to fault if it does clear the light.

My 2022 did that once. I took it to the dealer after I did the system reset and pulled the negative on the battery with no luck. They told me it was one of the settings.
