Bikes looking good. Reminds me of my childhood. We ( Me and my closest cousin) took care of my uncles property while he concentrated on his business. Worked hard and gave us access to his off road vehicles, bass boats, dirt bikes, trucks and some of the cars. Took us fishing, hunting, shooting. Got us jobs starting in concrete. 45 years later my cousin and me are still great friends and he moved back to the guest house during time uncle fell sick and passed. He moved his business back home and we get together once or twice a year and ride the quads, shoot the range, and fish the ponds. Those boys get to experience what seems to be so far between these days. Hopefully they are thankful for all the hard work that Dad and Grandpa provided so they can have great adventures😀

Exactly what the country is lacking at the moment.

Looks like fun, Tour farmhouse looks a lot like a church
That is the Rainbow Valley Church and was built 119 years ago. The locals keep it up, my in laws do all the mowing. It's where a lot of the local farmers attended church and there a cemetery there too. Many friends and relatives rest there. It's only a mile from our farm, so I like to stop and pay my respects.

Yeah, nothing like a piece of dirt away from the crowds to clear your mind.

My brother and I started riding a Honda Mini Trail 50 at the farm and worked our way up. When we got a break from working, we ran all over without a care in the world. Did our share of stoopid shit when got dirt bikes.......wish I was 15 again!

Hunted a lot of ducks, pheasant, and deer in that pasture. We trapped muskrat and mink in the backwaters and creek behind that dam. There's so much wildlife this year as it was a easy winter. There was birds and game jumping up everywhere when we road the edge of the creek. Gonna be a helluva fall hunt!

Yeah, that’s a classic, thinking about how much weather that place has endured and you know it’s a good foundation.

Small town America!

Went out to the local golf course today for men's night. Had a nice ribeye and enjoyed some company.

This golf course and club house was built by the locals. My Dad helped build many of the greens. My Mom managed the course for about 20 years before she passed. They have a memorial for her inside the clubhouse and a tree planted outside. Also a tree planted for my nephew. Pretty cool place to golf, socialize and enjoy the evening.

The local Legion has flags on display for all the veterans that have passed. Many were pillars of the community farming, ranching, oil development, business owners, volunteer fireman/first responders. They built this place with pride and it continues decades later.

My Dad drove truck in the fall and winter. Hauled a lot of grain, cattle, machinery from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Great Falls, Montana. I used to ride with him on some trips. They did 24/7 shifts pouring concrete for these grain elevators. It's big business in rural America and takes a lot to make it work.

Thanks for sharing about a great piece of local history and the people that made it happen😀

Blew back up to Dakota for some work and fun. Got a little towing and some fishing in today at Lake Sakakawea. Got about 15 walleye, kept about twelve around 2-2.5 lbs. Should make for some tasty fillets.

Pretty good haul. Cleaned up nicely. Gonna make a damn good dinner tomorrow. Probably $100 worth of fillets, $500 if you ordered it at a restaurant.
