AEV Bison Aftermarket Bumpers Available

Looks like you can now buy the 2500HD bison bumpers from AEV for $5300, probably closer to six with tax and shipping.

I see they say the front bumper can accommodate a light bar, but is not pre-drilled......wtf.......still no mention of those five sided holes that we assumed were for lights, which do have pre-drilled holes........Nate said they weren't.......I guess they are there for collecting debris and bugs......glad I filled mine in with custom bezel and lights.

Those holes were a big fail. If you're designing a bumper, why wouldn't you make pockets big enough for industry standard lighting to be installed.

I'm still not sure what to make of it. Only thing I could think of was winch access. But a 5 sided bezel blows my mind!

Yeah I noticed that they were listed on the AEV website about a week ago... I have been debating getting the front one for my new truck which should be here in the next week or so. I think it looks great, but maybe I should wait for alternatives. I need to shop around, 5k+ is alot for just a front bumper!

Those holes were a big fail. If you're designing a bumper, why wouldn't you make pockets big enough for industry standard lighting to be installed.

That would would take common sense and trust me it’s a curse or superpower.

It's priced to keep people buying the OEM truck. Available for rare occasions of collision repair for insurance payouts. Not really meant for ZR2 or HD owners to quickly negate the point of buying the full HD Bison.

There's really not much to a Bison over a ZR2 in the HD world (comparative to both previous and current gen Colorado). They need a way to protect it's market.
