305/65/18 BFGS - Perfect Upgrade

Just put on 305/65/18's and they look and ride so much better than stock. Basically the same height so speedometer reads accurate, just a wider stance.
Ship us some pictures. Was on the fence with these or the 295/70r18’s.

Pics of the new tires.

I must say they look much better than I thought they would. Also great tire choice! BFG KO'2 are tough to beat.

Can you take a pic of how close it is to the upper control arm? I worry that when slightly deflated it will hit that

Full lock, both sides, 38 PSI.

Glad to hear you can run a decent pressure in those.

My main turn off from all the “larger” tires is the E1 80psi rating.

I have no desire to run a half ton truck with 50-60psi in the tires.

If you air down to take it off road (I assume you will take it off-road? That's it's purpose), it will definitely rub those UCA's. It does it on the stock tires if you go 15PSI for sand.

Really? It rubs stock aired down? That's ridiculous, they really should have gone with a lower offset wheel. They claim this truck is race tested but with that info it leads me to believe otherwise lol

It was, but you don't race at 15PSI. That's for crawling in super loose or rocky terrain.

Which what this truck is made for more than desert racing

Not with front and rear lockers. You can't even engage the front locker in hi, and you aren't dessert racing in low.

Thats what I mean, this truck is more made for crawling than racing but you can't even air down without rubbing the control arm. Seems counter intuitive

Unfortunately, from a platform standpoint, the ZR2 is “half baked”. It’s a new trim on an MCE. And MCE being the key here. It’s limited on the investment they would place into T1 at this point in its life cycle.

The new Colorado ZR2 has the same overall diameter tires as our trucks. But a clean slate allows that to happen.

It’s a Trailboss+ fancy edition. And I love it for it.

VSS-T will give everyone those 35’s they want. But with Mary, they might also come with a Duracell battery.
