I was at the dealer today. They had this pretty sweet Suburban out front. Thought everyone might be interested in what the 2025 Tahoe/Suburban refresh might look like on the 2026 ZR2..... Who knows what'll happen.

It's not terribly radical, but the DIC is bigger and so is the infotainment screen. They are not connected, but closer together. The graphics are nicer, just like the Colorado.

Back to the column shift with some weird ass shifting patterns and dash is organized differently with the DIC not set back as far (not shown) . Other than the dash and electronics, it didn't look much different.

I thought you "white guys" might like this rig, especially with the storm trooper leather interior.

Wouldn’t expect a single change to the interior or infotainment. 26 will carry over with little or no change to anything “real”

The interface however is what you should expect for the 27 redesign.

This is GM. Not ford. Things don’t change all over the place every 2 years.

Minus a few packages, active exhaust and a seatbelt indicator, my 22 is exactly the same as a 25. Although with a better console lid.

And less infotainment quirkiness.

Thanks AXE for looking out for us white boys. Nice looking and the truck refresh should be very interesting. Hopefully they don’t get to carried away.

I think they will change for 2026 cause the Colorado and Tahoe and Suburban both did. If they will, it'll be announced soon or it won't happen. The truck needs a redesign for 27, too many shortcomings to stay relevant.

Everything I’ve read of late is saying nothing major until ‘27 model year. I think model year ‘26 is a repeat of current.

Swapping out the infotainment system and console shifting and some subtle changes to the front clip is a refresh, not a major change. That's what they did with Tahoe and Suburban.

GM is on roughly a seven year cycle for major changes. This current configuration has largely been uncharged in appearance since it debut in 2020.

What's confusing is they release so many different changes like motor, transmission,
electronics, interior/exterior features every two years, it's hard to know what constitutes a new change. I think the ZR2 models really embody that approach.

They should honestly work on appearance appearance appearance !!! RAM & FORD all made wide body trucks, GM didn’t. Only back in the good old days, my dad used to own 2 GMC sierras square bodies, one was 1979 and the other one was 1983.
They definitely did that with the latest Colorado ZR2. The entirely body was made to accommodate the offroad package and it is a really nice looking truck. There may be hope for the ZR2.

That’s my point, think we are in agreement.

Sort of. I think they jam that new infotainment system and console shifting in soon like they did in the Tahoe, then string out other changes.

Not sure it it'll ever be a full redesign again (chassis, motor, electronics, interior/exterior), just a gradual evolution for their meat and potatoes rigs. That way they can give the appearance of a diffrrent design, but it's just some new features on the same rig. They can make more money on them that way and control parts inventory better.

They are just gonna do it that way until they can go full EV or perhaps hybrids now, which is where their gonna spend their development dollars.
