2022 6.2 L Scoring cylinder piston

UPDATE
Well 3 months later and recently received a call your engine will be in 1/28/25 at dealership, hopefully it will arrive and will be installed and up and running within two weeks still have to remove old engine radiator and all the fun stuff they do.Waiting on GM if they will compensate me on all my inconvenience with a better warranty on engine instead of the standard 12 months unlimited.

UPDATE
Well that was fun and exciting for about a hour ,dealership was shorted in delivery of engine with no reason why , only it wasn’t delivered as they said.Probably someone grabbed it and say f—- the other guy we need it more.PS the rep from GM calls me with up still no updates on engine ,sorry for the inconvenience and hope your having a great day , what a joke ! What’s to be happy I said with having when paying for something you don’t have as I stated. Been outside in service department lot and not covered/driven/washed -gas tank fuel and probably ruining my fuel pump / seals not being used so they get rotted, brake rotors rusting, what to be happy about. Warranty on vehicle getting used when not driven.I am at a lost of words.

If people quit buying Chevy trucks, they will be swimming in them. This is BS not being able to replace a faulty engine! Especially when GM knows what is failing. The 6.2 liter is a fantastic engine with power everywhere, as long as it works correctly.

They are good looking trucks so folks keep buying them. My friend lucked out and bought a 2021, without the de - activation and ASS. I checked it and told him he is a lucky SOB. He took it on a 7300 mile road trip from his home, to BC, across the whole Country to Niagara Falls and home. No issues at all. He is probably safe.... I hope!

Sorry to hear this! It's total bullshit on behalf of GM. I hope you get this resolved soon and have a trouble free truck after all this.

Funny that they dont have "enough" engines. They sure keep pumping out trucks and other vehicles with the 6.2L.

Wouldnt it be nice if they cared about existing customers and took care of them vs chasing new ones.

LOL that is not good for the bottom line. Not going to change. Selling the new iron is the priority period.

I do realize that is the case. That is why I said wouldnt it be nice if they cared about us who wanted their vehicles to begin with.

Caring and missing quarterly earnings when profits are what the stockholder looks for drive all of this. Sad but it is the way especially the highly competitive automotive market works. Have had issues with other manufacturers on logistics support. YES, it would be nice is someone cared enough to sacrifice some profit to support a vehicle that should have been built correctly in the first place. You are 100% correct.

Agreeing to business as usual is over. We're in the process of realigning the whole fucking country that's been ripped off from corporate America, Wall Street, crooked politicians, and rouge government. Simping for these MFers saying "that's how it works"........not anymore, we're getting loud and demanding more.

Fuck off GM, I want an announcement by Wednesday that you're MAGA, not build back worser!

Damn right. I have expectations. I expect to get what I paid for not something less. I think a lot of folks have lost sight of expectations. If you expect nothing, that is all youre going to get...nothing. Oh it's just how it is just doesnt cut it. Stop accepting mediocrity. Strive for more and something better.

Exactly, now's the time to get loud, we're on a different trajectory and even Mary Barra recently said, we'll have to emphasize our ICE vehicles going forward if nobody wants EVs.....no shit, build some better ones.

UPDATE
Well looks like I’ll get my zr2 back Friday after 3.5 months now I want a extended warranty from GM for all my loss time and inconvenience not reward points and the standard 12 that comes with motor

Got 30000 /300 dollars on points but that’s not good enough not worth my time and inconvenience and loss of 3.5 months existing warranty

Wow, that must have felt like an eternity! Curious on a couple things…did GM provide a rental during this ordeal? And did you engage with a regional GM rep to expedite (we are all screwed if this timeframe is considered expedited, LOL) and provide info along the way?
