I am the proud owner of a new 2025 ZR2-1500. It is slate gray as shown; it’s a Duramax diesel and has the Bison and Technology packages.
I have owned several diesels in the past, both Powerstrokes and Cummins. While I have owned many brands of vehicles, this is my first Chevrolet truck. I have to say that after a few days of ownership, it genuinely impresses me.
I recently sold both my Ram 3500 diesel and 2022 4Runner TRD Pro to find a practical middle ground. I no longer need the towing capacity of the 3500 Ram, nor the work associated with driving it, and while the 4Runner was a reliable and capable vehicle for many of my needs, it certainly fell short on light towing, capacity, and certainly fuel economy. I hope I have found my “middle ground” magic.
I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and annually make several lengthy drives for hunting excursions. I am looking forward to the new ZR2 on such journeys.
