Hopefully your DIC isn't broke!

They sell it in blue or green jugs or you can just use water.

Why are your tire pressures in the 60's?

I run them at 65 cold when I pull my toyhauler. I was actually pulling my tractor yesterday, but I forgot to air them down last week after I pulled my camper. Glad you reminded me, because I didn't air them down yesterday either after I unhooked. I usually run them around 55 cold when I'm not towing or with lighter loads.

That's pretty normal if you're towing with the 2500HD. I run mine at 55 when not towing. Even if you were running less cold, you can gain 5 psi when rolling on these heavy trucks.

I run 75 psi towing heavy with Load Range E tires.
Do you recommend 55psi for front and rear when not towing? The truck says to put them at 59 front and 70 rear. Since I'm not towing, thoughts on pressures for F&R for maximum comfort? Thx

55 is what I do. I haven't done a chalk test or anything. I'm pretty sure max cold pressure stamped on my tires is 65, so not sure about that 70 psi. I would think somewhere between 50-60 psi unloaded would be about right. I run 55 because I tow pretty regularly and I don't always want to mess with air every time. Especially because I forget and I leave them aired up for a week or two, lol.

The numbers posted in your rig are based upon the assumption your using it for towing or cargo. 70 psi in the rear wouod be stiff unladen. If you look in the manual, it might provide more alternatives for pressure base upon use.

I feel like these trucks work pretty well around 54-55 psi unladen. I would run them at 52, 53, 54, and 55 psi and see if you can tell any difference in ride quality or handling. I feel like steering gets a little sluggish when below 53, so I keep them in the 53-55 psi range cold. Then they run 55-58 psi when running and it feels good.

Lower pressure might make for a slightly better ride, but there is a point where lower pressure will cause more tire wear, stress sidewalls, increase operating temps, which can lead to tread separation and early tire failure.

Your TPMS will also be programmed to work in a certain range. You may find running below 60 psi to set the low pressure warning off. My previous Duramax had settings like yours, so lowest I could go was 58 psi cold or the TPMS was always throwing warnings in the DIC. The 24 ZR2 is rated for 55 psi cold, so TPMS seems fine until 50 psi.

I get a TPS light if mine are below 50psi, onstar also sends me a notification in the app. I picked up a nail a while back in one of my rears is how I know, lol

When I had HDs I ran 60/55, I thought it handled best in the steering department, but wouldn’t be opposed to a couple less. But 70 in the rear unladen will feel stiff for sure

Yeah, if it's comfortable at 60 you'll get a little better tire life.

If you go to the beach or offroad, you can run 15-30 psi and it rides great at slow speeds and traction is great.

You'll need a good compressor, as it takes a lot of volume to fill up a 35 inch tire of you air down that much.
