It comes amid a shift in the American market's preference for economical vehicles.

Please. It's been dethroned a long ass time ago if you combine both Chevy and GMC. It's kinda bullshit that they are counted separately when they're essentially the same.
So agree with this. I miss the days when vehicles had character. Makes one wonder what they were thinking when they went with everything looking the same. And this was only the F150 half tons that had this title, not all Ford trucks
But they sure gambled with them; losing millions by electrifying them, also using V6's that need timing chains replaced and leaky turbo chargers.
SUV's are going to be this generations station wagons. They are growing up in them, and when they get older they will see a 2024 RAV4 cruising down the road and will remember their childhood. Even though all SUV's have the same layout mechanically and have only slight styling differences. We all just drive bland boring pods around now.
somebody's always got to sensationalize a headline... I agree, i don't know why they don't count the Silverado and Sierra together.I don’t think that article is accurate…here’s the latest from Car & Driver for 2024. The F-150 is still the number one vehicle in the US. But GM beats that if you combine the Silverado and Sierra.
Cause they are two separate brands with independent accounting systems.somebody's always got to sensationalize a headline... I agree, i don't know why they don't count the Silverado and Sierra together.
