I'm OCD and notice all the little things. For me, if I spend $80,000 on a truck with a 6.2L V8 with 3 miles on it, I at least expect it to rumble and hum like a V8 with no quirks at all. Not like an engine with a bad AC compressor and worn out belts. That is just how I have always judged the trucks I have driven. I have a very high standard when it comes to vehicles and have always had a V8. The 2008 Tundra 5.7 I just traded in for the ZR2, had 240,000 miles on it. Never had any issues with the engine and it hummed and ran smooth EVERY TIME. I just wanted something new and updated and really liked the looks, features and the fact that it has a bad ass 6.2L V8 in it. Don't get me wrong, the ZR2 is a very nice truck and has some cool off road features (which alot of trucks don't have). And it's brand spanking NEW. It's just that one little thing I can't get past and don't think I can live with, that may be unique to my truck.....the sound of it. I'm taking to dealer tomorrow to let them drive it. I will let you know what they say.
