If any of y'all are running 1.5" spacers on stock wheels/tires, can you please post some pics down the side of the truck? I'm trying to see if 1.5" sticks out too far. My buddy owns a shop, and advised NOT to cut the lugs to run 1.25" spacers. THANKS!

i ended up going with the 1.5" spacers on stocks on my new truck. looks 125% better! if they stick out past the fenders any, it's barely. don't have any pics on my phone but will try to remember to get some this evening and post a picture tomorrow morning.

only issue i have is a small rub at full wheel lock in reverse, so i refrain from doing that and, badabing, no issues.

i went with 1.5's because, well, at the end of the day, what's a quarter inch? not enough to make her any happier, that's for damn sure.

I understand that the engineers do things for a reason (as I'm a civil engineer)...

Having said that, since spaces technically change the geometry on the weight distributed on the wheels, would there be any problems of excessive tire wear when going with a wider stance?

Just for giggles, here is a pic of my truck. I'm running 1 1/4"s on the front and 1 1/2"s on the rear. The front track is slightly wider than the rear from the factory so that's why I set mine up this way. I'm in architectural / engineering design and extremely OCD when it comes to dimensional discrepancies that no one else on the face of the planet would ever notice🤣

This is how they should've came stock. I had to go with 4" spacers on mine for poke

The weight geometry on the wheel itself doesn’t change. You can argue that spacers can increase shear load on the wheel bearings as you are moving the centerline of weight outwards of the attachment point to the suspension.

This really only becomes a consideration with huge negative offset rims or massive spacers. Factory wheels are +28mm so even a 1.5” spacer moves this to a -10mm. Not ideal but not destructive to the design of the suspension.

Wheels are tucked from the factory for DOT, paint damage from debris and NVH/fuel economy from the outside edge of tire hitting the air stream of the vehicle in motion.

I installed 1.5" spacers at 500 miles or so. No need to cut the studs using the stock wheels. The spacers made a huge difference in stance but the stock tires are still way too small.

This guy stole my pictures. So I'm not going to post them since he already did.

Where in the hell did you take my white nationalist Silverado to take those pictures? You have until Saturday to get it back in my garage so I can drive it. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks

Edit: Make sure you reinstall my bug shield and window vent visors before bringing it back.

here's a fresh pic of my whitey. your request caused me to get it out of the garage and take it for a ride today. 1.5's front and rear, bofe.

Yup, that's the money shot right there!

Thanks everyone for helping out.

I'll order once I'm less broke. This time of year ain't too good to be buying crap I don't need.

Luckily the truck came with a few "perks":
  • Folding bed cover
  • Fancy airbox upgrade with a glass topped box (forgot brand)
  • Borla exhaus
  • Bedrug (who DF puts carpet in a bed -- especially $500 carpet)
  • Power running boards
I got my old Kicker 600.1 amp installed Tuesday to push my one JL 10TW3 and I ordered the Range Technologies DFM delete yesterday. I also ordered several of the jumpers for headlight mods. Lastly was LED tag bulbs and reverse bulbs.

Anyways, lots of good info here. As a former F-150 owner, I didn't know that all of these 6.2's eventually blow up.

The Bison AEV wheels are 1/2" wider than stock wheels. does that mean they'll stick out 1/2" more or 1/4" more?

Either way it looks like I'd be outside the wheel well. so if I went with a smaller spacer would I have to cut the studs? I don't want it bad enough to do that.

tell me yore married with kids without telling me yore married with kids.
One spoiled-ass kid who turned 16 this week. It's even worse that he's good at baseball and plays on a national travel team. I swear I'm gonna go broke...

My wife wanted to get him a "nice" deer rifle for his 16th. I caved.

been there, done that. bought my kid a browning x bolt hell's canyon 6.5 prc 3 or 4 years ago. he's 22 now and making good money as an equipment operator and can afford his own shit now. the money he's dropped on guns and bows over the past couple years makes me wanna kick him in the ass . . . guns don't lose value though, so it's all good.

I added the Bora 1.5's to my cart, but didn't check out. I got a coupon for $5 a day later in an email.

I went back, started the checkout, added the coupon, then found out they added sales tax. I figured I'd just pass and wait a little while longer.

Ten minutes later, I got a different coupon for $10.

Fine, AmericanTrucks -- take my money.
