Unless you do a lot of driving off road. They can get smashed from the bottom. I have seen it, and the conditions have to be just right, but it does happen.

No doubt. I'm not sure about the conditions needing to be just right, but think it is rather the geometry of any situation. I dented one on my 2020 1500 AT4 outlets, and that was the lower profile rectangle style. Took a pry bar and straightened out. GM is always raiding the parts bins from other vehicles, maybe they have extra Blackwing tips lying around.
