FYI. If anyone is worried about their tailgate hitting their hitch… hold the top button for 3 seconds and it will lock it. To undo it, hold again for 3 seconds. You will see your tail lights flash each time.

Now...to only remember that every time before you hit your hitch ball ;)

BW makes a hitch specifically for this multiflex tailgate. It’s pricey but worth it.

Oh....that's nice. I mentioned something like this in another thread. I didn't want to damage my tailgate with a hitch.
8ball or Bluguy....is there a model number for the hitch and where did you buy it from?

Mine came from Amazon. B&W part# TS10065BMP. They offer a couple different versions also.

@subflyerc I got the B&w Tow & Stow 3-ball Mount 4.5" Drop, 5.5" Rise 10k Blk from eTrailer.com. I wanted a little more flexibility with the 3 ball setup. Been really happy with it! One thing to know: it is solid (to account for the slim profile) so you can’t use an anti rattle receiver lock with them.

Oh brother… I wish my stupid ass read the owners manual fully instead of skipping to parts I thought were cool or interesting. Had I, I would have made it to the Multi-Flex chapter where they explicitly said not to put the step down with anything in the hitch. Including a hitch protector… 😒
Expensive lesson learned.

That is why I made my own hitch protector 😉

My 22 ZR2 has a sticker inside the tailgate about the multiflex lockout. Mine doesn’t work. As soon as I press an hold the upper button the top of the gate pops open. I have the fob within 3 feet. I think others have seen this. Not sure if a future update will correct this.

Somebody said the dealer told him key needs to be inside vehicle. Then it worked.

My 2022 workifkey in pocket if I hold button for a few seconds the taillights flash to indicate lock and unlock conditions.

Appreciate the info. Ty.
