Modified ZR2 Sale Fail

Seen this article about a highly modified ZR2 that failed to sell at recent auction. Looks like he swamped it and had to replace the motor. Owner is probably $100k into this one and can't get $50k 18 months later.

One thing for sure, is you don't ever get your money back on modifications. But without proper care, you will definitely get fleeced.

I think this one posted on here some time ago….I remember the shocks coming up through the bed, used to be blue.

Seems like a fair offer. Someone put a lot of money into it but you can tell that’s it’s been well used. They didn’t even bother to detail it before taking pictures, which tells me that they really don’t take care of it. Polish it up and it would probably sell better.
You never know how any used car has been treated but I’m not interested in paying premium for something that has been rode hard and put away wet.

There is a company called baja kits. I think there has been a couple posted on here with the shocks in the bed. Not sure I've seen a silver one. Here is the thread from a black one. Looks like mostly the same setup.
