This isn't an issue with the truck paint, it's an issue with white spray paint on my black truck paint.
Ironically, I was on my way to the car wash to wash my truck. I hit a gawd damned full can of commercial grade white spray paint laying in the road that some asshole contractor forgot to put away properly.
This shit appears to have chemically bonded in on the clear coat or ceramic and the pressure washer wouldn't take it off the paint, trim, tire, or the AMP step.
I got home and tried a couple of pads and some Chemical Guys compound. The only one that worked was a heavier cutting compound with a heavy yellow cutting pad. It took quite a bit of time to remove any of the paint, but did come off. I didn't dare do much cause I'm worried about the clear coat getting too thin.
Is there any thing I can apply to the white spray paint that will soften it some but not damage the clear coat? I would rather attempt that before I spend hours and burn through the clear.
Maybe @wutang61 had some magic elixir. Any suggestions are appreciated!
