My name is Shane. I am a journeyman toolmaker by trade, but an industrial food processing Engineering & Refrigeration Maintenance Manager by day. I traded my 23 RST/Texas/Z71 for my new 24 ZR2/2500HD/Duramax/Allison the day before thanksgiving. It is not my first diesel, nor my first 3/4 or 1 ton. But HOLY WOW, I LOVE this truck!. I did opt for the 100k warranty, and my wife negotiated a lifetime powertrain, so doing anything to wake it up is pretty much out, but I cant really see that I need to yet! I am going to order the AEV winch mount, and stab one in as soon as possible! I wish there were more "knockouts" in the bumpers for additional lighting, as well as open factory switch locations, but if I had it all what would I complain about?!?!?! It is absolutely an addiction. Can't praise it enough!

According to someone purporting to be an AEV worker, those 5 sided abominations cut in the front bumper aren't even made for lights. I have no idea what they are for, cause he didn't elaborate.
You can check out my thread I posted where I fabbed up some bezels to make some lights work in those holes. You could get bigger ones in there. That should be easy for you with your skills and tools.

Welcome and nice color, look at the fine print on the lifetime warranty. I’m pretty sure you have to follow all the Dealers warranty service to a “T” or it voids the warranty.
