Did a search and can’t seem to find what I am looking for. Hoping some of the gurus here can answer fairly quick that have experience.

Taking off in the morning to grab a Mitsubishi Montero from the deer lease. About a 3 hour round trip and a quick google search shows that this 24’ trailer + the Montero is going to have me right at max tow rating. What are y’all running for tire pressure with stock wheels and tires? I bumped the rears up to 42 psi, wondering if I should go more.

22’ 1500.

I was gonna say 40 ish, but if the sidewall shows a higher max, you should be fine up to 45 psi. Low tire pressure is bad news with extra weight.

May want to stop and check tire temps after 20 miles. Too hot and you don't have enough air pressure. But you may need to back down on the towing speed too to find a balance.

Max for the stock tires is 50. Was debating on bumping to 45.

First weekend I had the truck, I was close to 10k behind it and never adjusted psi. Handled it well but trying to be proactive this time.
