15,000 miles 24 Silverado 1500 and the rear pads are reading 82% and the fronts are reading 99%…..dealership says “that’s normal” did that tech get his certification from a Cracker Jack box? Rotors have gotten so hot they have a blue tint…..but there is nothing wrong with this truck ….. well that’s what my dealership tells me! Anyone else?

I typically get 100K out of brakes, with very little towing. The rotor's should not be blue? Sounds like a brake is dragging?

Definitely sounds like rear brakes are hanging up. Normally, or almost always, the front brakes wear faster than the rear brakes. The majority of your stopping power comes from the front brakes.

I have 10K on my truck, fronts read 96% and backs read 95% currently, mine have done this since day 1, when the rear brakes go down by 1% the fronts follow a short time later so that they are the same percentage again, then eventually rears will drop 1 more percent and the pattern repeats where the fronts quickly follow. My rears just dropped to 95% about 100 miles ago so I expect the fronts will drop from 96% to 95% any day now. All my rotors are silver and look like new with no grooving or rust.
