All,
Has anyone had any glitches with their main display (not infotainment display)?
Mine has been randomly dropping out since new, similar in fashion to the reverse camera issue (same style of glitch flickering rapidly and then just dropping out and going all black). Only way to bring the display back to life is to switch car off for a minute or two and restart, sometimes takes multiple attempts.
I had the camera issue fixed with a camera kit at the dealer (apparently a known fault/solution) hopeful the issues were connected but but no such luck with the main display as it still drops out randomly.
Trying to catch a video of it, hard when driving to do safely.... Does anyone know if this is a known fault? (or if there is a software patch/upgrade for it)
Also, have noticed a strange load electronic clicking coming from under the steering column just prior to the drop out, like a typewriter......

I lost the GPS Icon on the infotainment screen. GPS still works but I have to search for the app elsewhere on the infotainment center.

This issue is not a known issue. There is another issue that GM has yet to introduce a fix for where you lose the speed and tach display, but everything else displays fine. There is a bulletin on that one with a TBD fix.

The issues may be linked, as when I first started having issues with the main display the speed and tach disappeared, and I managed to recover it by puling over and restarting. The dash went fully blank after that briefly and came back on. Is there a TSB number for the fault you mentioned re: Speed and tach disappearing? It would help my dealer....

I had it happen on my 2500HD a while back. It came back on next time I started it.
Hasn't happened again, but haven't driven it much either.

Mine does exactly this every once in a while too. This is the TSB I was referring to above. Everything displays except for the speedo and tach. Not a show stopper by any means. However, GM is working on a fix.

My dealer had to do a search in the system and found it. Again, known issue with no solution at this point so, as of now, it's a moot issue even he does find it.

Mine was missing some of the info in the center DIC too, like the OP. Seems like the same sort of issue.

Ive been trawling through TSB's online for our models, but none of them explicitly refer to tach/speedo issue, simply cluster issues/software.... I'll ask my dealer to search and see what comes up. There are hundreds of TSB codes and some have revisions as well to complicate the matter..

My Service Manager found it after a ton of digging. Unfortunately, I don't have any numbers associated with it, but it is there!

I've had the issue with my tach and speed also glitching and not showing on my screen. To fix mine, I just go into the settings and select the screen configuration and it fixes the issue.

Been there...did that. It fixes it for a little while and then comes back. Like I said, GM stated there is no fix for this issue yet.
